| Keeyask Agreement in Principle In 1998, Tataskweyak Cree Nation (TCN) began formal discussions with Manitoba Hydro to explore the possibilities of a joint business relationship for a potential hydroelectric development at Keeyask Rapids. TCN Chief and Council and the Keeyask Planning Committee guided the work at every stage of this process. The Keeyask Agreement in Principle with Manitoba Hydro was approved September 2000. A formal signing ceremony between Manitoba Hydro and Tataskweyak Cree Nation was held at Split Lake on October 17, 2000 to recognize the historic nature of this Agreement. |
